Help us continue the mission.
We urgently request your partnership in this mission of empowering vocations and the apostolic work of the Church. Any gift will make a real difference, and if you are able, we would greatly appreciate your consideration of a monthly donation, especially in these early years.

Spring Fundraising Progress
THANK YOU sincerely for your help in reaching our essential spring fundraising need from our budget to continue to host retreats in 2026.

$130,890
If you are able, we urgently request your help in support of this mission of providing hermitage retreats for priests and lay disciples. To sustain the most vital operations and continue to host retreats in 2026, we need to raise $130,890 from our 2026 budget. The founders continue to be able to volunteer as primary directors and workers, and we are therefore able to use donations very efficiently. Any support will go towards critical operational costs such as essential staff, final construction of our current phase, and upkeep of our infrastructure and utilities. We are most grateful for any consideration of a one-time or monthly gift that would help us provide this place of prayer and renewal for so many vocations.
*A generous donor has offered to match the first $25,000 given.
Make a General or Retreat Donation
We have been so blessed by your prayers and generosity toward this mission to renew and strengthen vocations of priests and laity in the Archdiocese of Denver and beyond. Retreatant donations made above the fair market value are tax-deductible, and tax letters will be provided to all donors.

Patris Corde Hermitage is a registered public 501(c)(3) charity; our FEIN number is 88-0639678. God has continued to bless us to be able to volunteer as directors and primary caretakers/builders. Because of this, we are able to use all outside donations very efficiently, and we are blessed to open debt free.
The need for disciples to deeply hear God's voice is very great. Many retreatants who have come in the past year work generously every day to advance the Great Commission and build up the ecclesial and domestic Church. Many are committed to daily prayer and the sacraments, but from the feedback we receive, coming to the desert allows them the space and the receptivity to reignite their call and the deepest connection of their heart to the Father. Our mission is to accelerate their fruitfulness and sustain their service to the Church by providing space for this sacred encounter.
Many priests and leaders have confirmed this indispensable need to come away with Jesus into total silence and solitude as the doorway for renewal and strengthening of their vocations. Because of this, we are committed to exclusively providing individual, non-preached, hermitage retreats in sacred silence - one of only a very few locations in Colorado and surrounding states that provides this kind of retreat. Every retreatant who comes - who has "left everything" for a time to follow Jesus - brings Him back to everyone they serve and encounter.
In 2026 as we move into Phase III, our plan and prayer is to provide well for each retreatant - from the first call to book a retreat until they depart these grounds. Secondly, over these next years as retreat numbers increase, we plan to scale our operating expenses to near 50% covered by suggested donations. Finally, for the first time, we plan to actively spread the word of Patris Corde's availability to those who seek Him in the desert. Please pray for us as so much of our work will transition to caring for those whom God calls on retreat.

“It was a joy to come to Patris Corde to bless the new chapel and the hermitages. I am delighted with the progress that you have made and your vision going forward. It will be a great service to the Archdiocese by giving priests and others a place to encounter the Divine Word in a place of beauty and silence. Know of my gratitude and be assured of my prayers for you and for what you are doing.”
- Most Reverend Samuel J. Aquila, S.T.L., Archbishop Emeritus of Denver

“Christ lived for thirty years in silence. Then, during His public life, He withdrew to the desert to listen to and speak with His Father. The world vitally needs those who go off into the desert. Because God speaks in silence... Silence is not an absence. On the contrary, it is the manifestation of a Presence, the most intense of all presences. In modern society, silence has come into disrepute; this is a symptom of a serious, worrisome illness. The real questions of life are posed in silence.”
- Cardinal Robert Sarah, Prefect Emeritus of the Congregation of Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments
